A Handsome Man Wearing Blue
$1,575.00
Anyone else long for the days when men wore suits daily and ran around looking handsome for no other reason than it being a normal workday? One of those dapper men was the great Mid Century Modern designer Joseph Eichler, whose modular homes are considered the pinnacle of accessible and stylish Mid Century Modern residential architecture. This painting is inspired by his iconic designs and exterior stain colors.
To me, the linen-textured surface of this abstract painting, combined with its muted charcoal greys and blues, is reminiscent of a man in a classic suit and tie. I created it using graphite, charcoal and acrylic paint. Swipe through the photos to see it in process and in sample rooms and frames. Keep swiping for a photo of the man himself.
