Well, my presentation on web 2.0 technologies for blogging is finally coming together. I’m using google presentation to house the presentation and I’ll publish it out on the web when finished. I’ve sent the presentation off to my co-presenter for her part and review. I’ve got to do a little bit of work over the next couple of weeks to tidy up the blog and ...

My budget size= ZERO dollars. My investigation actually began in May with Drupal. These were reviewed as of August 2007. System requirements for most of these (but not all): Apache or IIS server; MySQL or another db server; PHP ; ...

Well, I’ve finally got drupal up and running (again, second time is a charm, correct?). It’s kind of bare bones at the moment – no portfolio, not much content, and the design is kind of funky. Funny, I’ve stumbled across a few drupal sites that are so ...

Like | robin | Jun 15, 2007 | CMS, Design, my projects, webdesign
…just my opinion and as a cms, drupal looks good, especially structurally, but overall, it seems completely backwards in terms of design sensibility. aargh. If I can make it look decent (i.e., not cookiecutter) I’ll post a screenshot. Honestly, Drupal is a neat product, if I only I can get it work properly (deja vu! from 2003).

Ok, I realize I haven’t done a project update here in a while. so here goes (in addition to managing staff, project management, resolving complex problems, etc. in other words the day to day): Continuing work with the CRDL (Civil Rights Digital Library) in the portal design. I think the metadata issues have been resolved which now means it’s time for me to get busy ...
