There are several features & functionalities missing in drupal which I need. For a site from scratch or one with content generated from within drupal, all is well. For those working with 3rd party apps already, well, it ...

I was poking around trying to find a better video editor, when I stumbled across an opensource project called, Jahshaka. Jahshaka is positioning itself as being a fullbodied product that can compete with such software as finalcut pro (wow!). Not sure about that, because I could never (ever, ever) get the windows installer to work properly. Maybe if I had already switched to ubuntu ALREADY… ...

Well, I just finished up my first facebook app, a simple rss feed for moonshine arts magazine. You can check it out here. In theory, it should have been much easier than it was, but as with any new venture, there is always a little bit of learning curve. so, here are my pointers: PHP: If you are using php, doublecheck the version of php ...
Blogs you should read
Like | robinna | Dec 20, 2007 | Design
On one library list, there is an ongoing discussion about library related or librarian blogs that librarians should be reading. I’m sure everyone has their favorites. I read a lot of nonlibrary tech blogs that I find interesting and I participate in a couple of lists that do not have blogs. Anyhow here is my library related reading list: Catalogablog, http://catalogablog.blogspot.com/ I know — cataloging is ...

Earlier this week, we started inviting a selected group of people to try a new, free tool that we are calling “knol”, which stands for a unit of knowledge. Our goal is to encourage people who know a particular subject to write an authoritative article about it. from Google Blog, athttp://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/12/encouraging-people-to-contribute.html more athttp://blogoscoped.com/archive/2007-12-14-n19.html Sounds interesting. I’ve contributed sporatically to wikipedia, mostly just in a few ...
