seaside oregon I took this photo in 2003 and it has continued to be one of my favorites. I love that the photo has a soft painterly quality, I love the colors, the lines and division of planes, and the soft reflections.
There is a lot to like about this photo — the color combinations, the horizontal and vertical planes (the water vs. the building vs. the clothing stripes), the person walking away from nature towards the city….)
I like the perspective, and the funky lighting and contrast that was a result of the little twinkly lights.&;
I like the grid of this photograph, and the bold e in shadow. I also like that it was a photo I shot along the way without any planning, and I think it turned out nicely.
I really kind of adore this photo. I love the contrast of the dark beams and the white water. I love the physical presence of the water.
Another relatively simple photo.I think I was lying on the floor of the lighthouse shooting up.
What I love about this one is the very soft colors, almost completely neutral. I also like the hints of snowdrifts and the contrast of the dark trees. What I really love about this photo is the sense of quietness.
